Empowering Youth Volunteerism for Full Literacy: Induction Event on 3rd October 2024
The Department of School Education and Literacy, under the Ministry of Education, is going to organize an Induction for Youth Volunteers from Teacher Education Institutions (TEIs) under the ULLAS – Nav Bharat Saaksharta Karyakram on 3rd October 2024 via YouTube Live.
The objective of this induction is to orient the volunteer teachers of TEIs across India about ULLAS, with a special emphasis on fostering youth volunteerism as a pivotal strategy to help achieve full literacy across the nation.
The event will also bring together participants from approximately 18,000 TEIs affiliated with NCTE. The focus will be on empowering teacher educators and student teachers to actively take part in local literacy initiatives.
This induction aims to inspire volunteers to be at the forefront of change by guiding and encouraging students towards a more literate India
